Cheese Production Automation — 200 t of Milk per Day
Commissioning and Software Refinement for a Cheese Production Facility with a Capacity of 200 t of Milk per Day | Tatarstan
Russia
Branch:
Food industry
Year:
2025
About the project:
The project was carried out at the large MLK-GROUP cheese production facility in the Republic of Tatarstan. The production complex is designed to process up to 200 tonnes of milk per day and includes the full technological cycle — from raw milk intake to brining of the finished cheese.
Aprotec Engineering performed the commissioning and software refinement for the equipment of Lekkerkerker (Netherlands).
The Lekkerkerker equipment and original software were used as the basis. Aprotec Engineering's task was to adapt and refine the control logic in accordance with the actual technological processes of the facility, as well as to carry out commissioning works.
The scope of work covered the interconnected technological areas of production — from milk preparation and standardisation to cheese-making, pressing, whey processing, CIP and cheese brining.
The project covered the following technological areas:
— milk intake and preparation;
— processing department: milk pasteurisation, separation, cream collection, standardisation and cream pasteurisation;
— preparation of deacidification water;
— cheese-making department: cheese-making vats and curd buffer;
— cheese moulding and pressing area: four Casomatic-type pressing columns, cheese transport and pressing line;
— whey processing department: dust removal, pasteurisation, separation and whey storage;
— CIP cleaning: two CIP stations and seven cleaning circuits;
— brine facility: brine preparation and circulation.
Particular attention was paid to the correct interaction between the individual stages of the technological process and to the configuration of the software, taking into account the actual operation of the equipment at the facility.
As a result of the work performed, the commissioning and software refinement of the technological complex with a capacity of 200 t of milk per day were completed.
The project covers the full technological cycle of cheese production — from milk intake and preparation to cheese-making, moulding, pressing and cheese brining, including whey processing and sanitary cleaning of the technological equipment.

The project demonstrated Aprotec Engineering's capability to carry out commissioning works and software refinement for complex technological complexes based on equipment from international manufacturers.
