    Initial Task and Scope of the Project

    Aprotec Engineering was tasked with commissioning and software refinement for the cheese production facility at the Ecoptica site in the Lipetsk region.

    The production complex is designed to process up to 150 tons of milk per day and covers the process from raw milk intake to salting of the finished cheese.

    The equipment and the original software were developed by Lekkerkerker (Netherlands). Aprotec Engineering performed the setup and the necessary software refinements to ensure the operation of the technological complex.

    The production complex includes the following main sections:

    • milk intake;
    • process department — pasteurization, separation, cream collection, standardization and cream pasteurization;
    • cheese department — cheese vats and preparation of deacidification water;
    • cheese forming and pressing — pre-pressing, transport and pressing;
    • whey department — pasteurization, separation and storage;
    • CIP station with three cleaning circuits;
    • brine preparation and circulation.

Software Refinement and Integration of Process Sections

One of the specific features of the project was working with Lekkerkerker equipment and original software. Aprotec Engineering performed the commissioning and refinement of the software part of the system → taking into account the requirements of the process.

The work covered several interconnected production zones. Therefore, during setup it was necessary to take into account the interaction of individual process sections and their sequential operation within the overall production process.

  • software setup for the milk intake section;
  • refinement of control for the pasteurization, separation and standardization processes;
  • setup of cheese-making, forming and pressing equipment;
  • integration of process operations in the whey processing section;
  • setup of the CIP station with three cleaning circuits;
  • setup of the brine preparation and circulation section.

Thus, the work of Aprotec Engineering covered not a single unit, but the entire process chain of cheese production.

Working with a ready-made technological complex requires not only knowledge of automation, but also an understanding of the interrelations between the individual stages of production.
Aprotec Engineering refined the existing software and performed comprehensive commissioning of the equipment at an operating production facility

As a result of the project, commissioning and software refinement for the cheese production facility with a capacity of up to 150 tons of milk per day was completed.
